Extended Hours - Evening and Saturday Appointments!

Skegby Family Medical Centre is now working with 4 neighbouring surgeries to offer evening and saturday morning appointments.

Are you a Carer? Let us know!

If you are carer then let us know by either giving us a call or poping into surgery. We can then make a note on your medical records that you are a carer.

We work closely with the Nottinghamshire Carers Hub, who can offer you free, confidential advice and support. If you would like us to refer you to them for an information pack either print or pick up the form below from the surgery, fill in and hand in to reception so that you can be provided with all the help you need.

Sign up to the Electronic Prescription Service!

EPS (Electronic Prescription Service) allows the practice to send your prescription directly to your nominated pharmacy meaning that you no longer need to visit the practice to pick up your prescription!

Missed Appointments

In total, across all of our clinicians, 94 people did not attend for their appointments in January. This adds up to 23 hours 1 minutes of wasted time.

In December 123 appointments were missed resulting in 26 hours and 31 minutes of wasted clinician time.

In November 142 appointments were missed resulting in 30 hours and 10 minutes of wasted clinician time.

Patient Participation Group - We need your help!

Would you like to have your say about the services provided at Skegby Family Medical Centre?

The patient participation group is a chance to become involved in health issues which affect you and Skegby Family Medical Centre.

The participation group is looking for patients who would be willing to take part in face to face or virtual group meetings to help us develop and improve the services in practice.

We welcome your support, ideas and suggestions in order to help us improve the health care you need!

Get Online Access to your medical records!

You can now book appointments, order repeat prescriptions and see a summary of your medical records online.

To get online access pop into the medical centre with 2 forms of ID (at least one with a photograph and one with your current address) and fill out the short form and we will register you for the online service!

Get appointment reminders via text!

Skegby Family Medical Centre offers SMS confimations and reminders for appointments.

To get this service all you need to do is call or drop into the surgery and give us your consent for text messaging.

Paracetemol on prescription

Did you know that the NHS in Mid-Nottinghamshire alone spends approximately £800,000 on prescribing paracetamol each year?

Paracetamol costs the NHS two to three times more than the over the counter price - money that could be better spent on operations and treatments.

The name of your accountable GP is available upon request from the practice.
